About NTWR

The North Texas Wind Riders is a club for windsurfers in the Dallas and North Texas area.

The purpose of the club is to provide a community for local area windsurfers, and to promote the sport of windsurfing.

A typical yearly agenda for the NTWR consist of:

Hosting two major windsurfing regattas - The Texas State Championships and the Pumpkin Cup.

Hosting the Spring Series windsurfing regatta, a less formal opportunity to get competitive time on the water.

Holding three to four "Learn to Windsurf" events which provides an opportunity for anyone to learn the basics and try their hand at windsurfing on one of the local area lakes.

Monthly club meetings.

The NTWR is also proud to be involved in local charities. Our "Learn to Windsurf" events raised $4000 which was donated to the American Cancer Society in 2004.
