At Mariner Sails - We are fortunate to have some experienced Club members stepping up to the plate for our upcoming season! We'll have our first annual Wine and Cheese Party January 18th at Mariner Sails for membership and to make the new officers "official". Here's the line-up.

Windsurf Bay Cleanup This Sunday March 22nd, 10:00 am
The NTWR will be cleaning up Windsurf Bay Park this Sunday at 10:00.
Please help if you can. The job goes quickly if we get enough volunteers.
All you need to bring is a pair of gloves, we provide everything else plus refreshments.
It may be windy enough to sail so bring your gear.

The NTWR April Club meeting and Rigging Clinic will be 7:00pm Tuesday 4/16 at Mariner Sails. After a short meeting, there will Rigging Clinic put on by Robert. Regardless of your level come on down to Mariner Sails and learn all the aspects of rigging. Robert will show you how to get the most out all types of rigs both new and older. Even better, you can bring your own gear along to the shop, we will show you the best way to rig it.

The 2013 North Texas Wind Riders Texas State Championship Windsurfing Regatta at the Dallas Corinthian Yacht Club (www.DCYC.org), on April 19th, is shaping up to be one of the best events our club has hosted to date! Mariner Sails, and Aris Tsamis will of course be hosting again, and we are very privileged to have their continued support for our festivals!
Camping on the shore line is welcome again on Friday, and Saturday night! DCYC's location is on the north shore of Lake Lewisville, and the setting is like no other! The beautifully lit toll bridge crossing the lake is elegantly reflected on the water at night! This relaxing, and picture perfect setting is great for sipping drinks, and trading stories with fellow windsurfers. Those who arrive on Friday night, usually pile into vehicles and go up the street to the Prairie House restaurant for dinner. Lunch (Subway), dinner (BBQ), and drinks are provided on Saturday, to those who register and pay the nominal fee's (not just the racers). Also, the restroom and shower facilities at DCYC are excellent!
The Skippers meeting is scheduled for 10am on Saturday April 20st. The races will begin shortly after that, and continue throughout the day, with several different categories such as: beginner fun fleet, 7.5sqm limited, Open, and Slalom!! Every racer gets an event T-Shirt! Spectators are welcome, and we will have an area of the shoreline set up with some provisions.

The June 7th Learn to Windsurf event at Lakeview park has been re-scheduled
The forecast is calling for winds that exceed our maximum acceptable limits for beginning students.
The event will be held on June 21st in conjunction with our Summer Solstice Party at Windsurf Bay Park on Lake Ray Hubbard.
The Learn to windsurf will go from 12:00 to 3:00 and the party will start up at 4:00.

be perfect for camping!
